Todoist Design Library

In collaboration with a fellow illustrator, I co-created Todoist's illustration design language from the ground up, a comprehensive visual system built to scale across every touchpoint of the product, from web and mobile interfaces to marketing and beyond.

The work covered four areas: defining the core visual style, building a modular component library of reusable illustrated elements, establishing usage guidelines for consistent application across the team, and extending the language into motion and animation principles.

Rather than treating illustration as a decorative layer, we defined it as a structured design language with the same rigor as a UI component library. Every decision, from character expression to color application to compositional rules, was documented so the system could grow without losing coherence.
